Heading Home

After a few days at Kari's home we took our leave and headed back to Douala (no bus this time - we took good old Cameroon Air!) where we took our plane back to Paris and eventually home to Fargo.*

Our trip to Cameroon was very challenging, but also very fun and rewarding.  The work that mission hospitals do is amazing and the people that can sacrifice their lives and well-being to help others truly are incredible people.

*  If you want the nitty gritty details:  Maroua --> Garoua (short stop) --> Yaounde (short stop) --> Douala (seven-hour layover) --> Paris (eight-hour layover) --> Detroit --> Minneapolis --> Fargo.  That's right, forty straight hours either in a plane or airport!
