Botanical Gardens at Limbe

The Limbe Botanical Gardens is over a hundred years old and was created by Germain colonialists. The giant outdoor garden houses almost every type of plant found in Cameroon - quite a feat considering the diversity of ecosystems in the country. The Botanical Gardens is still a very important scientific area - we met two botanists from Oklahoma at lunch in Limbe one day.

Being the gardener in the family, Trish was very excited to see that we were staying within walking distance of this attraction.

The path through the garden wound through the woods and right up to the Atlantic Ocean.

Lots of plants, trees, etc. The above is an Aloe plant.
